La Casa

Villa Néréide is a simple but elegant villa located in the charming village of Bois-plage, in the center of the island. When staying in Villa Néréide, one can attempt a car-free holiday as the center of the village is just a few minutes away by foot, which is ideal to reach various services such as shops, post offices, restaurants but also the traditional market of Bois-plage which one must visit. Beaches can be reached by bike, which is the main transportation means on the island.

The 150 metre squared villa includes 4 bedrooms to welcome 8 guests:

1 parental bedroom with a 180 cm bed and private bathroom.
1 children bedroom with 2 80 cm beds and a shared bathroom with another room.
1 bedroom with either a double bed or two 80 cm beds and a shared bathroom.
1 double bedroom with a 140 cm bed and a bathroom in the corridor.

The interiors of the villa are modern and comfortable with grey and beige tones. The kitchen is fully equipped and looks onto a dining area and a living room with a fireplace and a TV.

The charming 460 metre squared garden includes a private and heated swimming pool which is protected by a cover, for an after-beach swim. There is also garden furniture with covered sofas in case it rains, an eating area to enjoy some intimate family breakfasts in the sun and an exterior shower to wash the sand off everyone before entering the house.

There are also 2 parking spaces available.

250 metres from Villa Néréide is the beach of Gollandières which is an ideal spot for breathtaking views of the ocean and of the island of Oléron.

The location was perfect-midway between the market and the beach. Luxurious villa with lots of space, loved the heated pool.
Did not actually book through Villanovo, but they were managing the villa and were very responsive when needed. Will book with them next time!

Some weeds in the driveway which would need to be pulled. Very early checkout (9am, most villas are 10am). Expensive, but is very luxurious. Otherwise perfect!

Superb location. Beautiful property. Loads of high quality amenities.

Not many. Front driveway away had some weeds growing between patching which looked a little messy. No ensuite toilet in master bedroom.

The outdoor space was quite nice. We loved having the pool although too cold to use. We enjoyed our relaxing by it nonetheless. The location was the best we could imagine. So close to everything yet quite and private. Lovely village. We had a tour to see 5 of the villages of Ile de re. After that we concluded we were in the best village. Of course, we enjoyed experience each one's unique features. Comfortable, in general. Took getting used to having water closet separate from bedroom and yet was okay. Clean overall. Once we got used to kitchen we were able to navigate fine. We generally ate breakfast there. Snacks. Made one dinner there. The access to good restaurants in the village or other villages for our main lunch time meal. Using the bus service, The gratis bus was only working Sat and Sun until later in June in our village, we managed fine. beach was beautiful and enjoyed long walk to Courade one day, great! For the most part it was easy. Always good to travel and adjust to different ways of doing things, part of the learning.

Villanovo team was responsive, polite, was easy to deal with even though we mostly had to ask for anglaise version in order to comply with what we needed to do.

We are experienced 2nd home rental owners in the US, however, we were less comfortable with the seemingly chaotic arrangement of many, many objects within the home. We were not able to access the TV. Lack of instructions for appliances and TV, etc. added difficulty to fully enjoy the property. The wi fi did not extend to the far water closet or bedroom. We did not locate a book for the property with key information, would have been helpful.
